Eucharistic Adoration is our loving response to Jesus, where each of us is invited to spend one quiet Holy Hour in His Eucharistic Presence.
Our goal is to have at least two Adorers present for every hour that the Adoration Chapel is open, ensuring that the Blessed Sacrament is never left unattended.

Thank you for making an Adoration commitment.
If you have a group or team that is interested in covering a specific hour of adoration here is what to do:
Identify a captain who will help schedule the adorers. Some adorers may want to do it every other week while another may choose once a month. This flexibility is what makes the group hour so nice.
Select your weekly hour. Preferably your group can select an hour of adoration that is currently open. If that is not an option, then select one that has only one person signed up.
Identify your group of adorers from your team. Use this form: Group Sign Up Form
Contact your team members to gather the requested information.
Each Member of your team will be set up in our WeAdoreHim program. They will receive a welcome email with helpful information.
When an adorer for your group arrives for adoration, they will go to the kiosk first. They will click on the group name and a list of adorers with that group will appear. Then the adorer touches their name and is signed in. If your group picks an hour where the church doors are locked, we can provide a fob to each participant in your group to enter the outside adoration chapeldoor.

12. WHAT IS ADORATION ?
Eucharistic Adoration is our response to Jesus’ love, whereby each of us is willing to spend one quiet Holy Hour in His Eucharistic Presence. At Our Lady of the Lake Church, Eucharistic Adoration is available from Monday 7AM around the clock until 2PM on Saturday afternoon. Eucharistic adoration is closed whenever a Mass is taking place, including special events like weddings, funerals and baptisms.
What do I commit to?
You commit to spend the same one hour a week at the Eucharistic Chapel in the presence of the Lord in front of the exposed Blessed Sacrament. Our goal is to have at least two Adorers signed up for each hour in case one person cannot attend their hour. You may sign-up for multiple hours if your schedule permits.
What happens when I have a conflict such as vacations, business trips or illness
We try to schedule at least two Adorers for each hour. As long as one of you is there, that is fine. If neither of you can be there then optimally you would find a substitute. If not, the Blessed Sacrament must be covered during that hour.
What if the time slot I want is not available or I am unable to commit to a dedicated hour?
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to utilize the Adoration Chapel during normal church hours listed below:
- Monday – Thursday 7AM-4:30PM
- Friday 7AM – Noon
- Saturday 9AM – 2PM
How do I get into the Chapel?
You can enter the Adoration chapel through the church front doors during the normal church hours listed above. The chapel is located behind the altar in the Sanctuary. If you are a registered parishioner and have signed up for an hour outside of normal church hours, then you can request a fob that will get you into the chapel’s side door. Send an email to braynorjr@gmail.com
What should I do when I am in Adoration?
You can pray, do a Rosary, do a chaplet, read faith-based books or just sit and be still. The purpose of Adoration is to grow your relationship with God. Please remember you are in the presence of God, so it is very important to observe a reverent quiet atmosphere.
What should I do when I am ready to leave and there is no one else in the chapel?
The Blessed Sacrament should never be exposed while not being attended. In this case you would lay the cover over the face of the Monstrance.
***When attending Adoration, you should not let anyone in through the outside door for your own safety. If it is during normal church hours they can walk around to the front door. If is outside of normal church hours they must have their own key to gain access.
13. WHAT CAN I DO DURING ADORATION ?
The Adoration Chapel is our opportunity to be in the presence of our Lord. There are no formal guidelines as to how you spend your time in Adoration. Just be quiet and reverent showing respect for the Blessed Sacrament. Here are some ideas for Adoration:
- Just sit still in silence
- Adore our Lord
- Pray The Rosary
- Pray the Jesus Prayer
- Pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet
- Pray the Psalms
- Meditate on Scripture
- Read the Bible
- Read about a Saint
- Talk to Jesus and then Listen
