Eastern European Basket Blessing
|
Join us for our annual Eastern European Easter Basket Blessing on Holy Saturday, April 4th at 3:00 PM in the Sanctuary. This beautiful tradition, known in many Eastern European cultures as the blessing of the Easter baskets, brings families together to present baskets filled with symbolic foods that will be shared at the Easter meal. Items such as bread, eggs, meat, salt, candles and sweets are blessed as a reminder of Christ’s resurrection and the joy of Easter. All are welcome to participate. Simply bring a basket with foods you plan to enjoy on Easter Sunday. We look forward to celebrating this meaningful tradition together as we prepare for the joy of Easter!
