Lenten Events

Lent is season of prayer, fasting, and almsgivingIf you’re looking to enrich your Lenten journey, we encourage you to be involved in some of the many opportunities available to you.

In preparation for the celebration of Easter, we will have a Lenten penance service on Thursday, March 30th at 7 PM in the Sanctuary. We will have several priests from our parish and around the Diocese available to hear confessions.

Station, Soup & Speakers

Bishop Spalding cordially invites you and your family to attend the Chrism Mass and Open House at the Catholic Pastoral Center on Tuesday, April 4th. This family event is a great way for parishioners from all 38 counties in Middle Tennessee to gather, make new friends, and celebrate our shared love of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

After Apha

You are invited to join us for our new After Alpha series on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM in Bevington Hall focusing on the series The Second Greatest Story Ever Told. The series will complement and go deeper into the same themes of the Lenten retreat that Father Gilstrap is preaching throughout Lent. The format will be similar to the Alpha program and include a dinner, a 20-minute video presentation, table-sharing groups, and music ministry. Please RSVP below.

Fish Fry

Fish Fry
Our Fish Fry, hosted by the Knights of Columbus, will be March 24th in the St. Joseph Hall. Tickets will be on sale in the narthex after all Masses and will also be available at the door. If you purchased tickets for the cancelled March 3rd Fish Fry, they will be honored at the next Fish Fry.
As you know, the March 3rd Fish Fry was cancelled due to the recent severe storms. The church was without power for a significant amount of time and the Knights lost approximately 500 pounds of fish in addition to other perishables when they reached an unsafe temperature. The Knights have been overwhelmed with the generosity of people wishing to donate to cover the cost of the lost food. If you have offered to donate, please stop by the Knights of Columbus table in the narthex after the weekend Masses to make your donation. Please be sure to indicate it is a donation so it can be appropriately collected. If the total donations exceed the amount of loss, the surplus will be applied to the next Fish Fry. The Knights would like to send a heartfelt thank you for your support and generosity.
